Comedian Red Skelton became an instant success during radio’s heyday in the 1930s and ’40s. But the lovable comic’s career hit the bigtime when he streamed into our living rooms through the magic of television and “The Red Skelton Show” and “The Red Skelton Hour” in the 1960s and early ’70s.  In one of his more popular routines, Skelton turns to two of his favorite characters, seagulls Gertrude and Heathcliff.
