What Happened to Baz
An Australian cane toad named Daz ponders the fate of his missing buddy Baz because “pickle me grandma, the silly old bugger has gone bloody missing.” Has Baz been struck down by a freak sporting accident? Has he become lost and disoriented? What if he encountered the cane toad’s nemesis, Victa, a vicious lawn mower?
David Clayton and Andrew Silke collaborated on this 2002 short, which carries the full title Cane Toad: What Happened to Baz? It’s quite funny, with splatting and side-splitting commentary on the invasive cane toads, an introduced species that has overrun Australia with a vengeance.
