African-American Star Parker, syndicated columnist, Republican activist and founder of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education, shatters “the big lie” perpetrated by liberals that you must be white in this country to fully achieve the American Dream. Radical activists and politicians have long contended that there are too many obstacles for blacks, Hispanics and other minorities to move forward. Parker says she bought the big lie and lived in an out of poverty before a conversion to Christianity opened her eyes. “Freedom lovers understand American exceptionalism, they understand the American Dream, they understand what we were founded on–of traditional living, of free markets of limited roles of government,” she says. “So once you grab a hold of that, you can be whatever you want in America.” Parker continues her discussion with John Stossel in this edition of Liberty Pen.
