American Anthrax Conspiracy
Now that letters containing white powder have gone to the family of Donald Trump Jr., it’s a good time to reflect back on the big anthrax scare of 2001, the time of the World Trade Center bombing. The federal government always tried to paint a picture of the “scare” being the work of terrorists or lone, crazed delinquents operating in the dark.
Yet time has suggested other options, including evidence that Deep State agencies in the administration of President George Bush might have actually perpetrated the crimes as part of its campaign to build public support for a war on Iraq.
