Shutdown Over for Now
Trump is turning the shutdown table on the Democrats. Some of his fans are upset, but Styxhexenhammer666 says they need to cool down and cut him some slack. Trump will now get to deliver a State of the Union and pretty much Nancy Pelosi is obligated to oblige him and allow the SOTU.
Also, if there is no agreement on Wall funds and the government has to be shut down a second time as a result, the voting public is likely going to blame the Democrats for the impasse, not Trump. Says Styx, “He has re-opened the government for three weeks. The Democrats must now act.”
