Peering Ahead to 2029
Technology and humanity’s ability have advanced exponentially in the past few decades, but it’s difficult to foretell what our world will be like in 2029. Foremost among the possibilities is a new home for the human race. As we speak, NASA and multiple organizations have taken the first steps toward colonizing Mars. NASA’s Mars Insight Lander, launched in late 2018, is already prospecting for ideal locations to colonize and the first wave of humans is expected to arrive sometime in the 2030s aboard a new spacecraft–the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle–which has already been developed.
