The Bush That Got It Right
The 2016 GOP presidential campaign will always be remembered for the caustic rivalry between Donald J. Trump and Low Energy Jeb Bush. The debate confrontations were intense and the zingers aplenty. Of course, we know the final outcome. Trump went on to win the nomination and become our 45th president, alienating the entire Bush clan.
Fast forward two-plus years and lo and behold, Trump has garnered the support of Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, son of Jeb. Smart move for George P., who pundits say is building bridges and gaining political points. “This is the only Bush that likes me,” Trump exclaimed. “Truly, this is the Bush that got it right.”
