Data Supports Police
Data appears to debunk the left’s narrative that police brutality is a rampant problem in America that disproportionately victimizes blacks. Heather Mac Donald, Manhattan Institute fellow and author of The War On Cops, says that blacks make up a far greater percentage of violent crime suspects in the country and black victims comprise a disproportionate share of homicides and shooting victims.
“Blacks die of homicides at 13 percent the rate of whites when they’re between the ages of 10 and 43, according to the CDC,” McDonald says. “That’s a problem and that’s why cops are in minority neighborhoods.” The data clearly supports law enforcement. Mac Donald joins PragerU’s Will Witt to discuss the facts.
