Leftists Plot Against America

Ilhan Omar’s daughter Isra Hirsi joined the flotilla of leftists that traveled to Cuba to render support for the Red regime. Are these leftists plotting the over throw of the American government? Why would any American join these communists?

Here’s more from Liz Wheeler, joined by Stu Smith — investigative analyst at City Journal, a publication of the Manhattan Institute. Together, they work to untangle Neville “Roy” Singham’s network of radical socialist groups.

Multi-Trillion Dollar Pipe Dream

Are we heading toward an all-renewable energy future, spearheaded by wind and solar? Or are those energy sources wholly inadequate for the task? Mark Mills, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and author of The Cloud Revolution, compares the energy dream to the energy reality in this episode of PragerU.

No Free Speech On Campus

Why do college campus protestors shut down conservative speakers? Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald tells John Stossel that the “diversity bureaucracy” is to blame. Here’s the interview.

Data Supports Police

Data appears to debunk the left’s narrative that police brutality is a rampant problem in America that disproportionately victimizes blacks. Heather Mac Donald, Manhattan Institute fellow and author of The War On Cops, says that blacks make up a far greater percentage of violent crime suspects in the country and black victims comprise a disproportionate share of homicides and shooting victims.

“Blacks die of homicides at 13 percent the rate of whites when they’re between the ages of 10 and 43, according to the CDC,” McDonald says. “That’s a problem and that’s why cops are in minority neighborhoods.” The data clearly supports law enforcement. Mac Donald joins PragerU’s Will Witt to discuss the facts.

Green New Deal vs. Fiction

The Democrat Party is seemingly all in with U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, a radical plan to eliminate fossil fuels to save the planet, but not without a stern warning from opponents. Former Popular Mechanics editor and author James Meigs says, “That’s a goal you could only imagine possible if you have no idea how the energy economy works or how energy is produced in this country. Renewable is especially hard, because it’s so inconsistent. You can’t just put in wind turbines and solar panels. You also have to build all this infrastructure to connect them with energy consumers, possibly very far away, and you always need a backup plan.” Consumer advocate John Stossel debates the issue with Meigs and Manhattan Institute senior fellow Mark Mills on Stossel TV.

The University Diversity Scam

America’s campuses, particularly those in California, spend tens of millions of dollars on administrators and programs to combat issues like sexism, homophobia and racism on campus. But are these problems in any way prevalent at our universities? Or is this diversity bureaucracy a big waste of money? Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute explains.

The Demise Of Liberal Arts

A degree in liberal arts tradtionally offered a balanced curriculum featuring the great works of the Western artists–Shakespeare, Mozart, Eliot. Not anymore. Today’s same degree stresses Western racism, sexism, imperialism and other ills and sins that reinforce a sense of victimhood and narcissism. The Manhattan Institute’s Heather Mac Donald laments the shift, saying, “The modern professorate repudiated the great humanist tradition on which much of Western civilization and the Western university has been built.” So what happened? Mac Donald explains in this edition of PragerU.

The College Diversity Scam

Manhattan Institute political commentator and journalist Heather Mac Donald asks, “Are colleges across America rife with racism, sexism and homophobia?” The question is especially germane to California universities, which spend millions of dollars combating these issues. Mac Donald explains whether the problem is prevalent in our universities or whether the diversity bureaucracy is just a big waste of money in this edition of PragerU.
