My Doctor Killed Himself
Jamie Dlux chronicles a difficult stretch of his life, when he became addicted to OxyContin. Dlux recovered after a long and painful process, but his doctor wasn’t so lucky. He killed himself rather than go to trial and face a long jail term. These events all unfold in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, known colloquially as the Redneck Riviera.
