Hungary Defeats Trump Ally

The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will be leaving office after 16 years in power, as his party lost Sunday’s election by a substantial margin to the major opposition party. Orban had been a staunch ally of President Donald Trump — one of the few European leaders who hasn’t been antagonistic toward the Republican.

Pete Magyar, leader of the opposition Tisza Party, tagged Orban and his party as “corrupt elitists.” Tisza pledged a more humane and better functioning nation. Much of the campaign debate also centered on Ukraine. and its war against Russia. Here’s more from Sky News.
