Call Me Stormy

Finding righteous currents in turbulent times

Chapel of Gov

Forget the groom! This bride has found herself a new husband — UNCLE SAM!

“Chapel of Gov” pokes fun at the welfare state, government dependency, and policies that have discouraged marriage and weakened the traditional American family.

Why marry a man when you can marry the government and let the taxpayers foot the bill? Here’s a parody song from Brian Coyne that he actually released a few years ago, but i had to be held off the Internet for awhile as Coyne worked through some copyright issues. The original song was “Chapel of Love” by the Dixie Cups and it came out in 1964.
