World Of Campus Conservatives

College professor and author Jon Shields says, “diversity really is the religion of the university.” Shields, associate professor of government at Claremont McKenna University, is the co-author of Passing on the Right: Conservative Professors in the Progressive University. It’s the first book-length study of conservatives in academia and one finding, Shields says, was that free-market thinkers tend to feel less pressure to conceal their political beliefs than social conservatives. Shields joined host Alexis Garcia in this interview on Reason TV.

Leno Changed Late-Night TV

Longtime producer of The Tonight Show Dave Berg praises Jay Leno for changing the politics of late-night television. Berg, in his new book, Behind the Curtain, tells Reason TV’s Alexis Garcia that, “Johnny (Carson) emphasized entertainers on his show.
