Koko was the most famous gorilla in the world because she talked. She also mourned her kitten and cried when her friend Robin Williams died.
But was it real? Here’s a look into the story of Koko, the nickname given to Hanabilko, a lowland gorilla born at the San Francisco Zoo and used by Francine Patterson in ape language experiments.
