Countdown to Bacon…2

Only two days to go before Call Me Stormy’s A DAY OF BACON marathon. That’s right. On Monday, September 24, we’ll bring you 24 different prime bacon clips from the movies, cartoons, music videos, you name it — a new one every hour for 24 straight hours.

Our purpose? You’ve heard of drawing a “red line” in the sand? Well, we’ll be drawing 24 of them in the form of succulent, mouth-watering bacon strips. Who are they meant for? Who ever wants to catch the dripping grease.

These are troubling times, so we all could use a heaping helping of sizzling bacon humor. Do tell your family and friends so they can get in on the fun and the free and freedom-loving group therapy. Here’s a little taste of what’s in store…as a few Canadians with a healthy appetite for comedy prepare the ultimate Great White North Hoagie.

Countdown to Bacon…3

Only three more days until Call Me Stormy’s marathon — A DAY OF BACON — a full-throttled, non-stop, 24-hour salute to bacon. Why bacon and why now?

In the words of Homer Simpson, “You know that feeling you get when a thousand knives of fire are stabbing you in the heart? I got that right now…Ooh, bacon!”

All day on Monday, September 24, we’ll offer bacon clips every hour on the hour from movies, TV shows, music videos, newsreels, every possible source we can find. We’ve scoured the planet and uncovered bacon bits from Australia, Canada, Germany and Great Britain, as well as the United States. To give you a flavor of what’s ahead, here’s Homer himself with the Spider Pig in the German “Spider Schwein” remix. Also, we give you a rousing rendition of “Spider Pig” by students from Dordt College, a reformed Christian college in Sioux City, Iowa. Enjoy, and come back Monday for lots more sizzle.
