Chinese Cartel Takedown
The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office has busted a major human and drug smuggling operation, based in Fort Piece, Florida. Illegal immigrants from China operated the huge smuggling venture, joined by a few men from the Bahamas. They used ships and Airbnb to smuggle cocaine, as well as Bahamian refugees, into Florida.
A total of 30 Chinese nationals has been arrested, joined by eight Bahamian men. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisted with the arrests. Here’s more from Steve Turley.
