Alberta To Stay Canadian
Three-fourths of Alberta residents have voted by referendum to keep the province as a part of Canada. Meanwhile, one-fourth of Alberta residents favor going independent.
These results would seem to put a damper on the Alberta independence movement. Yet there were clear signs that a majority of Alberta residents favor change.
For instance, clear majorities of voters favor the province playing a greater role in controlling immigration. They do not want to see Prime Minister Mark Carney or his leftist regime opening the floodgates for more immigration.
The voters also do not want immigrants receiving full health care or other benefits until they have obtained Canadian citizenship. So Carney received some assurances, as well some warnings. Will he heed the warnings, or continue acting like an arrogant globalist? Time will tell. Here’s more from Braden Langley.
