Two powerful Democrats — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Pete Buttigieg, the former Cabinet head for U.S. Department of Transportation — command a big chunk of the blame for Spirit Airlines going belly up.
The two Democrats used their power to block a money-saving $3.8 billion merger that had been proposed between Spirit Airlines and JetBlue. The merger would have kept Spirit Airlines afloat and benefited the many working class riders who used the airlines.
But today’s Democratic Party is no longer the voice for the working class. It’s become an effete and snobbish party tied to woke college-educated leftists.
