Lear It: A Brand New Ride!

Ilhan Omar, the U.S. Representative from Minnesota,  takes over Spirit Airlines and rebrands it with a chaotic video as “Lear It Jets.” Here’s more from DFF.

Pocahontas: She’s Takes It Away

Two powerful Democrats — U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Pete Buttigieg, the former Cabinet head for U.S. Department of Transportation — command a big chunk of the blame for Spirit Airlines going belly up.

The two Democrats used their power to block a money-saving $3.8 billion merger that had been proposed between Spirit Airlines and JetBlue. The merger would have kept Spirit Airlines afloat and benefited the many working class riders who used the airlines.

But today’s Democratic Party is no longer the voice for the working class. It’s become an effete and snobbish party tied to woke college-educated leftists. So whether Buttigieg is sorry or not, the chickens have now come home to roost. If you don’t like it, take it up with Pocahontas! Here’s more from The Liberal Hivemind.

Flakes On A Plane

Bill Whittle says the Old Frontier was an era wrought with violence everywhere, and you had to be strong and vigilant to defend yourself. He says things haven’t changed much today, and if you want the violence and independence, and the ability to take care of yourself, fly Spirit or Frontier.

He says flakes on a plane, with their fistfights and absolute chaos, is approaching epidemic proportions. And the only reason he points out Spirit and Frontier is because they’re low-cost carriers, but other airlines aren’t immune to the mayhem. In this episode of  “Right Angle,” Whittle, Stephen Green and Scott Ott share their thoughts on the dilemma.

Flight Cancellations Growing

As many as 2,000 flights have been canceled as airline workers stage a walkoff to protest the vaccine mandates. Air traffic control workers seem to be coordinating the walkoffs., but  there were also online rumors of pilots joining the protests. Many different airlines have been effected. More from Vincent James at The Red Elephants.

Here, Tim Pool provides more details. He says Southwest Airlines alone canceled 2,000 flights over the weekend, while other airlines, including Spirit, also saw disruptions. The employees joining the walkoffs are not only tired of the vaccine mandates, they are tired because of the mandates. The reason: Some employees are now gone, so working hours for everyone left have skyrocketed. So workers feel they need a break.

Outsourcing Cruelty

Unlimited power in the hands of limited people always leads to cruelty. That was one of the tenets taught by Alexandre Solzhenitsyn, the great Russian novelist and historian with a pro-freedom bent.

Here, Ramzpaul discusses Solzhenitsyn’s thoughts in the context of a cruel airline incident involving a dimwitted stewardess upset because a two-year-old girl is sitting on her mother’s lap and not wearing a face mask.

The stewardess works for Spirit Airlines. a low-cost airline but one that has been frequently accused of poor customer service. So we can’t say we’re shocked they hired this particular stewardess. The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
