Drug Cartel Ravaging Mexico

Mexico is under siege from vicious members of an embattled drug cartel. They have unleashed havoc across the country, particularly attacking tourist and commercial hotspots including Puerto Vallarta.

The U.S. Embassy has issued an emergency security alert for Americans living in five Mexican provinces — Jalisco, Tamaulipas, Michoacán, Guerrero and Nuevo León. Americans in those provinces should seek out safe quarters and remain inside while the violence occurs. Two of those provinces are directly south of Texas, while the others lie along the Pacific Coast in the vicinity of Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.

The firestorm has been touched off  by the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho,” leader of Jalisco’s New Generation Cartel. The Mexican Army, which gunned down Cervantes, has reported a surge of kidnappings, torched buildings and road blockages following his death. Here’s more from Benny Johnson.

Gen Z Revolts In Mexico City

David “Nino” Rodriguez interviews journalist Oscar Ramirez on the youthful revolt in Mexico City, led by Gen Z protesters upset over the lax law enforcement policies of Mexico’s corrupt president — Claudia Sheinbaum.

Sheinbaum has pampered the bloody drug cartels that run roughshod over the people. The breaking point came earlier this month when the cartels assassinated Carlos Manzo, the mayor of Uruapan in the heart of avocado growing state of Michoacan. Manzo,  an outspoken critic of these criminals, has been the 10th mayor assassinated since Sheinbaum took office.

Is she just hopelessly weak, or has she been bought off by the thugs?
