PC Schools Overreacting
A 7-year-old in Maryland was suspended from school for pointing a Pop Tart at another student and making gun noises. In Virginia Beach, Va., a 13-year-old boy and his friends were suspended from school for playing with toy guns on private property. And in New Jersey, a 13-year-old was suspended from school for twirling a pencil that other students say looked like a gun. Patrice Lee, of the Independent Women’s Forum, tells Liberty Pen’s John Stossel that the politically correct government school system’s reaction on these cases borders on nitwittery. “What we’re seeing here is an overreaction by school administrators and people who are trying to stop what could be harmful actions on the part of the young kids.”
