Will We See Sparks Fly?

Trish Regan says there’s more than meets the eye in the decision by Fox to fire Maria Bartiromo.  “I think we’re going to get some fireworks,” Regan says. “Let the games begin. This is war.”

Regan says Fox may not be off the hook as easily as it thinks. She believes Bartiromo is moving to hire an attorney and could be suing Fox.

Not so fast, says John Solomon of Just The News. He says Bartiromo remains under contract with Fox and will be receiving her pay through 2029. He adds, “She has been removed from air and won’t return. But she continues to remain with Fox at present under the pay or play provision of a contract, which is common in television.”

The executive at Fox behind getting rid of Bartiromo: Ralph Giordano, the Fox Business SVP of Programming. He formerly served on the team of Neil Cavuto, one of Fox’s more worthless TV hosts. It’s not exactly shocking that Giordano’s a low-life and a putz.

But there’s still quite a bit that’s unknown or unclear. Here, Regan provides a bit of conjecture , some more background and discusses what her own personal experience was like with the Fox departure team.
