Robert DeNiro’s Waiting
Let’s roll back in time to the year 1984 when the British pop group, Banarama, was fairly new on the scene. At least, this was a few years ahead of their big breakout hit “Venus.”
In 1984, they released “Robert DeNiro’s Waiting.” While it didn’t exactly set the world on fire, the video for the song boasts a prophetic ending, with a “delivery man” from Corleone’s Take Away Pizza, carrying a violin case stuffed full of pizzas for late-night gorging.
Bear this song in mind nowadays, when you hear former President Donald Trump describe DeNiro as a “mental midget” and “a total loser.” Like Tom Hanks, we would not be surprised at all if DeNiro is kneedeep in Pizzagate. That’s probably why he wears the fake walking boots, so he looks taller, more upright and outstanding than he actually is.
