Something Strange Arriving

Obsession with Solar Eclipse

Today a solar eclipse will be visible across the United States. The first point of contact will be at Lincoln Beach, Oregon at 9:05 a.m. PDT. Totality begins there at 10:16 a.m. PDT. Over the next hour and a half, it will cross through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and North and South Carolina.  Truthstream Media wonders: Why have so many people become obsessed with the solar eclipse?

Grand Canyon: Blink of Time

Followers of this blog know that we’re suckers for time-lapse films. Here’s a new one and it’s the best time-lapse perspective we’ve ever seen showcasing the natural wonders of the Grand Canyon. The creators took more than 80,000 photos over a seven-week period from April through June of this year.
