What Happened To Drudge?
We not only used to link to Matt Drudge. It was truly the one site we turned to most frequently to understand the biggest stories, especially those of interest to conservatives. But after building such an influential and all-encompassing site, Drudge has allowed it to self-destruct over the past couple of years. He’s lost nearly half of his old traffic, and his numbers just keep right on dropping month by month.
Here, Paul Joseph Watson wonders what happened? Did Drudge sell out to a wealthy Liberal who wanted to ruin the vaunted conservative news site? Did he have a fight with the Trump administration or put himself into a compromising position? No one knows exactly the cause, but we can all see that today’s Drudge Report is but a pale shadow of its former self. We don’t link to that page any longer, nor visit on a daily, or even a weekly or a monthly basis.
Says Watson, “Did he sell the Drudge Report, or just sell out?”
