Romney, McConnell Impeached?

Lou Dobbs of Fox Business News says it’s not former President Donald Trump who should be impeached. Dobbs proposes that punishment should be reserved for the RINO traitors who are siding with the delirious Democrats and pushing impeachment. Among the proper targets, says Dobbs: U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, and Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky.

We concur 100 percent. This nation needs a rival political party, not a party comprised of dingy Democrats in disguise. It’s time to oust the traitors and maintain a Republican Party that supports jobs and the Bill of Rights, rather than playing footsie with the demented Leftists. More from Steve Turley.

(EDITOR’S NOTE: The Senate voted 55-45 Tuesday against a proposal by Rand Paul, R-Kentucky, to table the impeachment on grounds that the Senate cannot impeach a private citizen, only a standing President. Five Republicans sided with 50 Democrats to oppose Paul, including Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Patrick J. Toomey of Pennsylvania.

McConnell sided with Paul and the other 43 Republicans, suggesting McConnell’s early anger with Trump has subsided or perhaps voters have cooled Mitch’s jets. What this vote suggests: The Democrats will not have the two-thirds majority they need to actually impeach Trump. Their trial will just be another grandstanding show, like the last impeachment trial. In other words, Congress doing what they always do: Wasting time and money again!)

Journalist Bill Still says the Senate has no right to impeach Donald Trump because he’s no longer the President but now a private citizen. The Senate has no jurisdiction whatsoever to impeach or hold trials concerning private citizens. That’s a function our Constitution reserves for the court system.
