The Mystery Of Skara Brae

Dating back 5,000 years, the Neolithic settlement of Skara Brae is the best-preserved group of prehistoric houses in Western Europe. But who were the inhabitants of this bleak, remote settlement and why did they abandon the site so suddenly? One researcher suggests that a community of priest astronomers lived at the site whilst another has put forward a more extreme theory regarding a connection with Egypt and the ancient African tribe the Dogon.
