P. Diddy Properties Raided

Three properties belonging to rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in Los Angeles, New York and Miami were raided Monday by federal Homeland Security agents as part of an ongoing sex trafficking investigation by New York federal authorities. Numerous videos show officials moving into the house and placing some of the occupants in handcuffs.

Combs apparently had been tipped off and wasn’t at any of the homes during the raids. It’s reported he departed the Van Nuys airport on a private Gulfstream Monday. Different reports listed its destination as Barbuda, the Caribbean island that’s a twin to Antigua; or St. John, an island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. There was also some speculation about him ultimately wanting to go to Cape Verde, an island off the coast of Africa that doesn’t have an extradition treaty with the United States.

Combs is said to be facing charges that not only include sex trafficking, but also distributing illegal firearms and narcotics. Candace Owens tweeted that the feds planned to make P. Diddy a “fall guy so they can protect the people at the top of the ring.” She charged “they are raiding his home to hide evidence not to find it. That’s how this works.”

Attorney Jesse Weber joins NewsNation with more details.
