Judge Gags Trump Again
Judge Juan Merchan is locking down his courtroom ahead of the Trump trial scheduled on April 15th, and issued a gag order limiting what President Trump can say about the case moving forward.
Judge Merchan denied Trump’s request to unseal the court docket and make the trial record more accessible to the public, claiming it was open enough already as the trial date looms. Of note: The judge’s daughter, Loren Merchan, served as director of digital persuasion in the 2020 campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris.
