The video game world continues to disintegrate. Id, the software company behind the games Doom and Quake, laid off half its workforce. Based in Richardson, Texas, Id let go of 136 employees.
Meanwhile, Asha Sharma, the CEO of Microsoft’s Xbox Division, has come under fire for letting go of close to 5,000 American workers. At the same time ghe did so, Sharma brought back 2,273 foreign replacements. The foreign replacements are H-1B visa employees, many from India. Here’s more from Clownfish TV.
