Maurene Comey Gets The Boot
The Trump Department of Justice has fired Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, from her position as assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.
This follows shortly after Comey mishandled the Sean Combs “P. Diddy” case, winning a verdict against him on only a few minor charges. Comey also played a key role as the chief prosecutor against Jeffrey Epstein in the months before his death.
The firing of Comey hardly comes as a surprise. President Donald Trump has indicated for wuite some time that he planned to get rid of Maurene Comey, just as he had ended James Comey’s term at the FBI.
