Once every spring, in the first week of April, the Japanese city of Kawasaki hosts Kanamara Matsuri — the Festival of the Steel Phallus. Here, Black Pigeon Speaks drops in on the festival, just south of Tokyo, to witness the veneration of the one-eyed monster.
