My Next Investigative Series
I announce my new investigative series — a look at the jailed Hollywood film executive Harvey Weinstein.
He founded the independent film company Miramax, named after his parents Miriam and Max Weinstein. After several arthouse successes, including The Crying Game and sex, lies and videotape, he sold the company to Disney in 1993. Weinstein remained in charge and the fortunes of Miramax kept climbing, really breaking out with the picture Pulp Fiction.
He eventually left Miramax in 2005 to form his own company again — The Weinstein Company. But his enormous moviemaking success came crashing down in 2017 when more than a dozen women accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment, up to and including rape. He has since faced multiple charges in California and New York, and served time in prison, although new charges remain outstanding against him.
Harvey Weinstein, says Candace Owens, will be the focus of her next investigative series. She says she’s grown bored with politics, after all the conservative hypocrisy over Elon Musk.
