Regime-Ender for China?

Nowhere has the coronavirus had a more devastating effect than inside China. The Chinese Communist Party is in a panic, not because of all the deaths caused by the virus, but because of the economic downturn it’s led to. Many experts on China, including author and political pundit Gordon Chang, opine that this could be a regime-ender for the CCP. Chang says the evidence is mounting, pointing to the death of one of the Wuhan whistleblowers in February that created a wave of white-hot anger among social media and platforms. “I think this is really going to create a period of friction,” Chang says. “And especially after the virus subsides, people are going to engage in recriminations. And remember, this is the revolution season in China. It’s spring.” Here’s more from Chang on the China Censored channel.
