This is an appropriate video for today as Gates, along with his late colleague Paul Allen, founded a company they called “Micro-Soft” in Albuquerque, N.M., on April 4, 1975, 45 years ago. It was a few years before Gates moved Microsoft to Washington state, Gates’ home state. Allen later purchased a home in Santa Fe, N.M., the former residence of the artist Georgia O’Keeffe.
