In China, everyone starts with a social credit score of 1,000. You can praise the government or perform charitable deeds, like visiting the elderly, to raise your scoial credit score to a maximum of 1,300. You need higher scores to be eligible to received advanced education at colleges and universities. You can even land in jail or a penal colony.
