Mike Johnson’s fight didn’t last long. The opposition from a handful of Republican holdouts vanished as the first round of vote counting began.
Johnson won re-election with 218 votes. The only holdout who ended up voting against Johnson? Thomas Massie, the Kentucky Congressman who might be headstrong, but also appears quite asinine and stringent. In other words, he’s dumb.
