The Democratic Party has been shedding membership for years in the state of Pennsylvania. Now, the party is collapsing across the state, managing to retain dominance only in a few sprawling cities like Philadelphia.

How long can hybrid politicians like John Fetterman survive? How long before Pennsylvania elects Republicans for governor or the U.S. Congress as reliably Republican as, say, Tennessee or Texas?
