What About Drinking, brought to us by the Prelinger Archive, is an educational film created at the Center of Alcohol Studies at Yale University in 1954. It centers on a group of teenagers, whose party is interrupted with news of a car accident: Bob and Ted hit a pedestrian while driving, and police found a bottle of alcohol in the car.

A young boy stumbles upon the hidden lair of a monster, but rather than run in fright, discovers that he shares something in common with his new acquaintance — a love of soccer. First Bananas, Then the World

Comprised of public domain footage and stop-motion animation, Yann Gorriz’s All About Bananas Et Cetera is ostensibly a seven-minute film about bananas. But, as the tongue-in-cheek title indicates, this is a film that’s actually about a bit more than that. Through the use of dry narration and repetitive editing techniques, Gorriz crafts a visual, introspective piece about structure and classification.

Bird and Fish

On a futuristic planet, two species have evolved — the birds and the fish — occupying their own spheres. The two rarely meet or interact, but all that changes after a bird delivery boy is dispatched into the watery fish realm carrying a package earmarked for a young, inventive fish boy. The two will become friends, bringing both of their worlds closer together. Ann Mendenhall and Stephanie Son created this highly original and engaging animated short as their senior graduation piece at the Kansas City Art Institute.  H/T Kuriositas
