GOP Turncoats Sunk Snowden?

Patrick Bet-David sits down with journalist Glenn Greenwald for a hard-hitting discussion on Venezuela’s boat strikes, alleged CIA plots to overthrow Nicolás Maduro, and the political implications of Trump’s meeting with Brazilian President Lula da Silva.

The meeting with Lula happened in Asia during Trump’s stop in Malaysia for the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit. Lula wanted to meet with Trump to discuss his proposed tariffs on goods from Brazil.  Brazil is obviously not an ASEAN nation, but apparently did not want to wait to resolve tariff complications.

Greenwald also discusses his dealings with various whistleblowers, including Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange. He says Trump came close to issuing a pardon for Snowden upon the conclusion of Trump’s first term. But Democrats pushing a second impeachment hearing, plus turncoat Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Tom Cotton, scotched the deal.

Boyd also highlights the U.S. Justice Department’s efforts to prosecute those involved in the alleged coup against Trump. Here’s more from Promethean Updates.

Images are Solid Lead on Crash

The Chinese government released satellite images that appear to be wreckage from Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370. The jumbo 777 vanished mysteriously on a routine flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 passengers aboard. Chinese officials discovered the images–believed to be the best solid lead on the disappearance–a day following the mishap, but declined to elaborate why they held onto to them until midweek. CNN’s Tom Foreman gives a virtual explanation of how the images could very well be missing debris from the plane.

How Heavy Metal Went Global

“The biggest surprise was the girls in Egypt wearing veils doing the headbanging,” Jörg Brüggemann says of his worldwide quest to document metal culture. The photographer went to concerts and festivals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Malaysia, Indonesia, Egypt, the U.S., Brazil, and Argentina over three years to capture the lifestyle and commonalities among fans.
