Japan isn’t the only place in Asia boasting incredible ancient architecture. Here’s a look at Barabar, a site in the heart of India, that features five chambers carved inside a massive granite embankment some 2,300 years ago. According to rudimentary inscriptions engraved at their entrances, the chambers were purposely offered by a king to serve as monsoon shelters against rain for an ancient sect.

Lost Antarctic Civilization

The discovery of an old camera buried under layers of ice has revealed photos of what appears to be a long, lost civilization in Antarctica.

The find was made by an intrepid explorer and a band of assistants, who journeyed to the frozen continent to unravel some of its hidden mysteries. During one of their adventures, they came upon an ancient wooden crate where the camera was found. The photos revealed a thriving society and ancient city with towering structures with rounded tops.
