Republicans Retain The House
Spurred by flipping three North Carolina Congressional seats and stunning wins in a number of races that weren’t decided until the wee hours of Wednesday morning, Republicans retained control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
With precinct officials still tabulating ballots past midnight, GOP challengers Addison McDowell, Tim Moore and Brad Knott unseated incumbents in North Carolina to power the GOP past the magic number of 218. Republicans also claimed a key Democrat-held seat in Joe Biden’s hometown district in Scranton, Pa.
