What Will Recovery Look Like?

Many Americans are conflating the COVID-19 pandemic and the country’s subsequent shutdown to the Great Depression. Not so fast, says Larry Kudlow, director of the U.S. National Economic Council. Kudlow says today’s economic woes are completely different from the Great Depression, where enormous policy mistakes were made that brought the economy tumbling down. Our current economic reversal is the function of the COVID-19 virus and the mitigation attempts, which unfortunately will go on for a while, he says. But there are some glimmers of hope. Trump Weighs Google Controls

Here’s why National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow has confirmed that the Trump administration is considering the regulation of Google. It’s a backlash to the gross censorship of conservatives undertaken by Google/YouTube in the aftermath of their striking down Alex Jones. Dr. Steve Turley has more.

We do not favor regulating Google — we advocate breaking up the company and opening the Internet to far greater competition. The only way to protect alternative views is to have alternative businesses with a stake in the Internet.
