Iran Short-Changes U.S.

President Obama was quickly in front of the TV cameras, crowing about the administration’s preliminary nuke deal that left Iran’s Supreme Leader with an ear-to-ear grin and Americans empty-handed. The critics are blasting the deal, including former assistant Secretary of Defense Richard Perle, who says, “It (deal) basically allows Iran to stay in the nuclear business and no one, under those circumstances, can possibly say that this will preclude their acquiring a weapon.” Perle offers further analysis to host Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV.

Understanding Ebola the Key

Jennifer McQuiston, an infectious disease specialist with the CDC in Atlanta, says educating and reassuring people on the Ebola Virus will play a major role in conquering the outbreak. “Ebola is a disease that is quite frightening to people. The more you know about it, the more frightening it becomes,” McQuiston says. “But what I would say to people is that understanding the disease, understanding how the virus is transmitted, how it works, should actually be reassuring to the American public.” Watch as McQuiston tells NewsMax TV’s anchor J.D. Busting Health Myths

We’ve been told for decades that eggs, butter and salt are bad for our health. Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum tells NewsMax TV’s Kathleen Walter that this conventional wisdom is wrong, like so many other myths that have come and gone. Says Teitelbaum, “I’m going to bust one more myth for you, Kathleen. “Did you know that chocolate is a health food? That eating a little bit of chocolate each day is associated with a lower heart attack risk that is fairly dramatic.”

There’s No Turning Back

Distinguished professor of economics at George Mason University and syndicated columnist Walter E. Williams says there is such a deep political divide in our nation that he believes conservatives must divorce progressives. “I think it is clear that we have strayed very far from the Constitution,” Williams tells Steve Malzberg of Newmax TV.

“The founders gave us a Constitution where the federal government’s role in our lives was limited. … The federal government (today) is in every single aspect of our lives without any Constitutional amendments, and it seems like there’s no turning back. Most Americans want to have the power to use the federal government to live at the expense of another American. That is, they want their congressmen to use the power of their office to take the rightful property of one American and bring it back to them, whether you talk about farm subsidies, food stamps, business bailouts, food stamps, welfare and thousands of federal programs.”
