Recently, the medical technology company BrainBridge released a video demonstrating how their potential head transplant system would work, using sophisticated robots and AI for head and face transplants. Although this isn’t a reality yet, some surgeons are pushing a transhumanism agenda with these types of transplants. For people who are paralyzed or have life-threatening diseases, this could be groundbreaking. But how far will this go?
China has taken this further by using CRISPR gene-editing technology to modify pig organs for human transplants, a process known as xenotransplantation. Additionally, a Chinese doctor claims he can successfully perform a head transplant.
If true, has he been doing them in secret? The biggest question is who would be the donors? This isn’t just an organ but a full human body that needs to be alive. How would this process work, and are these doctors playing God while promoting themselves? Recently, a report via a FOIA request to the US Congress detailed companies and countries experimenting with cloning, including cloned organ tissue.
Are these advancements beneficial or harmful to humanity? Join Ben Chasteen and Rob Counts on this Edge of Wonder live show as they dive deeper into the world of transhumanism.
