Bizarre Bermuda Discoveries

The mysterious Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, has captivated people for decades with strange and eerie disappearances. Dozens of ships and planes, including the famous Flight 19, have disappeared without a trace, sparking theories of alien abductions; lost technology from Atlantis; magnetic anomalies; and massive, rogue waves.

According to the scientific explanations, it’s all the result of volatile, Gulf Stream weather; frequent hurricanes; and human error. However, that doesn’t account for weird compass anomalies and even more “out there” cases that are much more unusual than in other busy ocean areas. Join Ben Chasteen and Rob Count on The Edge Of Wonder as they distinguish myth from fact in this intriguing journey!

The term “gardyloo” had its origins in the Middle Ages. Before discarding waste from upper-story windows, the Scots would shout “gardyloo.” Meaning: Be on your guard for the loo is about to hit the fan! The term persisted into the early 20th century, until internal toilets became widely prevalent.

Here, Jamie Dlux reintroduces “gardyloo” while discussing sanitary conditions in the times of the bubonic plague. Learn how medical philosophy has not changed so much over the centuries, and still remains harmful for your health.
