Vegas Shooting Still A Hot Topic

More than six years has passed since the shocking and tragic shooting at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, yet the narrative of the incident remains a hot and controversial topic, lending itself to loose ends and a myriad of unanswered questions.

Sixty people were killed in the senseless attack on the final night of the festival, across from the Mandalay Bay Resort on the south Las Vegas Strip. The official investigation by Clark County authorities pointed to a lone gunman–Stephen Paddock, from nearby Mesquite, Nev., who allegedly blasted away with a bump-stock enhanced rifle from the 34th floor of Mandalay Bay.

But what is the real truth behind the massacre and Paddock? Some exhaustive research by podcaster Austin Wade Piccard, from the early moments of  the shooting to the chaos on the festival grounds and to the shocking truths and motives behind the players involved, revealed many deviations and outright lies from the official narrative.

Piccard says there were multiple reports of several shooters, not just Paddock, including accounts of gunmen on the festival grounds shooting people at point-blank range. Eight eyewitnesses, who each confirmed the presence of multiple shooters, all died by different means in the 30 days following the shooting.

Perhaps the most plausible narrative that has gained traction in recent years is the Saudi Arabia connection. Piccard says his research reveals the shooting was a preplanned distraction from what really was unfolding that October evening–a plot to assassinate Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), who was holed up in the Tropicana Hotel and not the Four Seasons (top five floors of the Mandalay Bay) and surrounded by heavily-armed Saudi security.

Piccard says Paddock’s story is even darker. He says reports describe Paddock as a pilot who owned two planes and was an international gunrunner who smuggled weapons in covert operations. Piccard says more reports surfaced revealing Paddock as a child-sex trafficker, shuttling children between the Philippines and the United States.

Here’s much more with Piccard on No More Heroes, with host Andy Malafarina, including some nefarious details of Paddock’s girlfriend, Mary Lou Danley.

Who Actually Owns Las Vegas?

Steven Campbell, host of Not Leaving Vegas, reports that the chain of ownership in Las Vegas and across the nation’s vacation industry is deep and twisted, and impacting tourism.

So who actually owns most of the interest Las Vegas and its famed Strip? Campbell says the immediate answer is MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, Wynn and Las Vegas Sands. But that’s the illusion of choice, he says. The real king of the hill is Vanguard, who some say hijacked The Strip in Vegas, ultimately leading to alleged charges of fixing hotel room rates and creating absurd resort fees and, eventually, an antitrust lawsuit.

Vanguard, one of the world’s largest corporations, has amassed a stunning 32.5 percent of all the common stock in properties on The Strip, a massive $5.4 billion investment! And they are the surprising owners of Vici Properties, who have scooped most of the land and structures on The Strip, turning the casino operators into renters beholden to landlords and subject to lease agreements.

In the following video, Campbell reveals the timeline of Vanguard’s corporate takeover and how the antitrust lawsuit will have a huge impact on the city and The Strip.
