Humpty Dumpty

Hope you’ve enjoyed our mini-series of cartoon kisses leading up to Valentine’s Day. We close with this cute 1935 gem from Ub Iwerks, the prinicpal animator for Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphonies cartoons. Ub made it after he left Disney and formed his own rival studio.

The gist: Humpty Dumpty’s son is getting tight with Easter Egg, spooning in a spoon while a sextet of leggy dancing eggs celebrate their romance. But after a Bad Egg kidnaps his gal, Humpty Junior will need to get boiling mad and spring into action to orchestrate a rescue.
