FDA OKs Gene-Edited Pigs
As if we didn’t have enough problems with the food supply, Josh Sigurdson reports that dangerous gene-edited pigs have been approved for consumption by the Biden Administration.
The latest FDA approval utilizes CRISPR technology in order to make pigs unable to reproduce. They’re implanted with another male’s stem cells, which produce sperm with the desired traits. While the government claims the process will help protect the supply chain, Sigurdson says a lot of the CRISPR technology we see today is not actually tested for safety.
