What’s In The Smoke?
Josh Sigurdson reports that the Canadian wildfires all erupted simultaneously–same day, same hour–pouring plumes of smoke into the eastern United States.
He says the smoke reaching New York City was an unusual orange color, same as ammonium nitrate when it burns. Interestingly enough, one of the biggest chemical thefts in history occurred just weeks ago, when 30 tons of ammonium nitrate was stolen from a California train.
